From the 7th to the 9th of September 2018, we camped in the courtyard of Alden Biesen Castle, home of the 33rd Scottish Weekend, one of the largest Scottish events on the European continent, featuring Highland Games, Market and Scottish Meals.
In our historic camp we had many nice conversations with visitors about Scotland, the Scots, the whisky and much more. As always, there was the opportunity to hold a real Scottish sword in your hands.
Highlights of the weekend were our daily shows, where we presented the historic clothing of the Scots and their weapons. In cooperation with our neighbours from Norway, the Vikings, there were even big show combats to be seen.
